Stockings

This Year's Rules:

Each stocking should have a total of 12 items:

One beverage
One fruit
One candy cane
One gift that comes from the top of your dresser or bureau (or similar catch-all flat surface)
Eight additional gifts

The committee suggests (but will in no way track or enforce) a budget of around $40.*

Stocking names have been sent! Angela enlisted the help of her bank’s Compliance and Security Departments to ensure maximum name-drawing integrity. The envelope also includes a stocking checklist to use if you like. Be sure to look at your checklist to see if you have been selected to bring a Bonus Stocking item!

* Mathematical basis for the suggested target: Adjusted for inflation, the $20 limit in place in December 1994 has a buying power of $42.16 in December 2024 (based on CPI data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, https://www.bls.gov/data/inflation_calculator.htm).
